In addition, Mr. Carlson has recently retired from the County of Orange Audit Oversight Committee having served more than 20 years, ten of which he was the Chair. He has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, a Masters of Science in Industrial Administration and a Ph.D. in Engineering, all from the University of Michigan, where he also did post-doctoral work in Financial Policy and taught Computer Systems Analysis & Design. His career in private industry has involved managing about $4 billion in technology and internal controls. He served in the U.S. Army and is a veteran of the Vietnam era.
