Property-Tax-Auction-Timeshares-2025

Wednesday, June 18, 1PM Deadline for Bidder Registration

SANTA ANA, Calif. – Approximately 22 coastal resort timeshare intervals at the Marriott Newport Coast Villas are scheduled for an online auction held by the Orange County Treasurer-Tax Collector beginning at 8 AM on June 25. The deadline to register to bid on these properties is 1:00 PM PT on Wednesday, June 18.

The Marriott Newport Coast Villa timeshare intervals are among more than 100 timeshares available for auction at five Orange County timeshare associations in desirable coastal locations also including Laguna Beach and San Clemente. Interested parties can view all the timeshare intervals for auction on the tax auction vendor website, accessible through octreasurer.gov/taxauction or directly at the vendor tax auction link. “The complete list of all tax auction properties may be viewed with a link to view bills and a statement of unpaid taxes for each parcel,” said Treasurer Tax-Collector Shari Freidenrich.

In addition to the Newport Coast Villas, the timeshare association websites also include Laguna Surf, Laguna Shores, San Clemente Cove, and Vacations at San Clemente Inn.

The Treasurer-Tax Collector does not have any other information on the parcel including the specific week(s) it is available. However, a link to the timeshare association is provided above and on the vendor website for each parcel. The timeshare intervals all have at least one installment of property taxes unpaid over five years and will be withdrawn if property taxes are paid in full by 5 PM PT on June 24.

To bid on a parcel, you will need to register and pay a non-refundable fee of $35 along with a refundable deposit of $500. Registration will not be permitted by mail or in person and will not be permitted after the deadline. If you are not a successful bidder on a parcel, your deposit will be automatically refunded to your bank account within 10 business days after the close of the auction.

Bidders should read through the auction rules, carefully review the Terms and Conditions and research all timeshares thoroughly before placing a bid.  This is a buyer beware sale and all sales are final.
